I mentioned it semi-jokingly last week, but the more I think about it, the more it seems to make sense – play DDR with weights around my ankles and possibly on my wrists as well (although I don’t know how much that will really do). But definitely on my legs, and I suspect it will be helpful for two reasons. The first is that it will just make my legs stronger, and thus they will be faster when I take them off (just like Rock Lee). But I suspect that it will also help my consistency, after I get used to them – I suspect that having heavier legs will allow/force me to plan more and place them with greater accuracy.

And, of course, it will provide another layer of difficulty for the game – since, as far as I know, I can pass every 9-footer now (well, every one that the DDR people have rated 9). Lastly, it will make for a better workout.

Now, all I need is some ankle weights. I think my friend Neil has some; I’ll check with him. If not I’ll pick some up for myself somewhere.
