Breakfast was terrible at a very touristy place in Bruges which had expensive waffles that weren't good. Don't do that. We got in the car and drove to Westvleteren, where we had the Trappist 12 right away.
Then the pickup. We got in line; the guy didn't recognize our license plate, but Neil got out and explained the situation, and he was happy to give us the crate and take our money. We also got a few three-packs of the Blond which they had for sale. YES! THE PRIZE IS OURS!
Back to the cafe for celebration lunch, as well as the 8 and Blond. Wandered around Westvleteren to sober up, then back in the car. We saw a beach on the way back, so we stopped again to sit on the sand for a while. But we don't have that much time if we want to get to Antwerp, so back to Brussels to return the car, and we get on the train.
In Antwerp we took a taxi to the hotel Scandic, which is apparently a family-friendly chain with lots of amenities like free breakfast and free wifi. Swam in the pool, sat in the sauna, and had cheap takeout dinner (gyros) at midnight before crashing.
